The Sioux City Garden Club is a non-profit organization, founded in 1926. We are a group from the Siouxland area whose common interest in gardening is sharing knowledge, enthusiasm and love of plants.

 

Come Learn with Us - In the fall and winter, we have monthly meetings with speakers, demonstrations, great discussions about gardening and social time. Club meetings are held the third Monday of the month; September - April at 6:30pm with December being our great Holiday Party. Meetings are held at the ISU Extension Office located at 4728 Singing Hills Drive in Sioux City. Guests are always welcome at our meetings. 

 

Come See Our Gardens -  In the summer, we enjoy garden walks held on Monday evenings. The gardens include our own member's gardens, as well as other beautiful gardens throughout Siouxland. Our garden walks are popular, fun and inspirational. Each year we have 10-12 garden walks - they are great fun!

 

Come Share Our Favorite Plants - We also have the Green Thumb Plant Sale in May. Many of the plants are locally grown by our own club members. We have a large variety of plants with super low prices. Members helping with the Plant Sale can take advantage of the first right to purchase items at the sale. 

 

Come Meet the Friendliest People in Siouxland - Gardening is a hobby that unites people of all ages, sexes and backgrounds. Whether you have a tiny garden or an extensive country acreage, whether you are a beginning gardener or a seasoned pro, whether your gardening is limited to a few tomato plants or extends to breeding prize roses, you will find new friends who share your interests in our club.
